Veteran fast bowler Kemar Roach took a stunning catch while diving to his left during the second Test between Pakistan and West Indies at Multan. It was an unbelievable catch from the senior statesman who rolled back years and showed his athletic ability.
It was a flighted delivery from the left-arm spinner Jomel Warrican outside off stump. The batter Saud Shakeel came down the wicket and looked to flick the ball towards the midwicket region. However, the ball went a little straighter towards wide long-on.
Kemar Roach ran to his left from long-on and dived forward to complete an excellent catch with both hands. After taking the catch, he rolled thrice on the ground and seemed to injure his groin in the whole process.

Kemar Roach was seen clutching his groin after he fell on the ground and was attended to by the physio immediately. While it was a stunning catch, his availability will be crucial for West Indies' chances as he is the lone specialist seamer for his team in this match.
The catch was an important one for West Indies as it broke a threatening partnership between the vice-captain Saud Shakeel and the captain Mohammad Rizwan. Shakeel and Rizwan collected 68 runs for the fifth wicket which helped Pakistan's innings get back on track.
West Indies take first innings lead
Earlier in the innings, Pakistan started poorly and were reduced to 25-3. Kemar Roach picked up two wickets with the new ball and used all his experience on a pitch which was not so helpful for the pacers.
Left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie struck to get the big wicket of Babar Azam for 1 off 5 balls. After a few overs, Motie struck again to dismiss Kamran Ghulam and reduce Pakistan to 51-4. A brief partnership between Rizwan and Shakeel followed but Roach's stunning catch broke the partnership.
Shakeel scored a vital 32 off 62 balls which consisted of 2 fours. His wicket triggered a collapse as Pakistan soon lost their captain Mohammad Rizwan for a well-made 49 off 75 deliveries. Rizwan played a counter-attacking knock which included 8 fours.
Pakistan's tailenders found it too tough to stay on a turning track as they lost 6 wickets for 35 runs to get bowled out for just 154 runs, thus conceding a first-innings lead of 9 runs. Left-arm spinners Jomel Warrican and Gudakesh Motie shared 7 wickets between them while Kemar Roach finished with 2-15 in six overs.
West Indies tailenders shine with the bat
Meanwhile, West Indies had won the toss earlier and elected to bat first on a rank-turner. Just like Pakistan, West Indies batters also found it tough to get going. They were even reduced to 54-8 at one stage and it seemed like they would fold up for a sub-100 score easily.
A 41-run partnership between Gudakesh Motie and Kemar Roach followed which seemed to take West Indies past the 100-run mark but the latter was dismissed leaving the score at 95-9. The last wicket partnership collected 68 runs and frustrated Pakistan's bowlers.
The partnership between Gudakesh Motie and Jomel Warrican took West Indies to a respectable 163. Motie scored 55 off 87 balls while Warrican struck 36 off 40 balls.
