Veteran West Indies fast bowler Kemar Roach showcased his athleticism during the fourth day of the first Test match against Bangladesh in North Sound. Kemar Roach made an incredible one-handed catch in his follow-through to dismiss Mominul Haque, and it could be considered one of the best of the year.

The West Indies are on the verge of victory in the first Test match against Bangladesh at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. Bangladesh lost seven wickets for 109 runs while chasing a target of 334 on the final day. Kemar Roach and Jayden Seales picked up three wickets each in the Bangladesh second innings.

Bangladesh started poorly as both openers were dismissed early during the run chase. Zakir Hasan was out for a duck off Kemar Roach, while Jayden Seales removed Mahmudul Hasan Joy for six. Roach claimed his second wicket by dismissing Shahadat Hossain Dipu, who scored four runs off 22 balls.

On the second ball of the 13th over, Mominul Haque played an aerial drive. Roach moved swiftly to his left and stretched out his left hand to take a low, one-handed catch. Mominul had to depart after scoring 11 runs off 36 balls. Notably, it was Roach's third wicket in the second innings of the Test match.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz Shows Resistance with Quickfire 45 off 46

Bangladesh collapsed to 23 for 4, but Mehidy Hasan Miraz showed resistance with a quickfire 45 off 46. He added a 36-run stand with Litton Das (22) and 43 with Jaker Ali, who was unbeaten on 15 at stumps. However, Jayden Seales dismissed Mehidy late in the day, ending Bangladesh's hopes of a recovery.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh made a bold declaration at their overnight score of 269-9. The West Indies took a crucial 181-run first-innings lead. Taskin Ahmed led the charge with a maiden five-wicket haul. The right-arm fast bowler played a crucial role in bundling out the opposition for just 152 runs.

Taskin Ahmed described his maiden five-wicket haul in Tests as a special achievement. He added that he executed well in the second innings with the Dukes ball. Taskin expressed disappointment with their batting performance in the second innings but hoped for a stronger comeback next time.

"Definitely it is special to me - first five-wicket haul for me in Tests. I got a few opportunities before but I did not get it. In the first innings, I thought I bowled OK. What I have learned from first innings is that line and length is key. That's what I executed in the 2nd innings and with the Dukes ball, line and length is key. The breeze was stronger than the first two days today and it was an advantage for me. Because of the breeze got some extra bounce as well," Taskin said after the day's play.
