Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) head coach Chandrakant Pandit is known for his toughness and discipline, and he is someone who is rarely seen smiling, like the team mentor Gautam Gambhir. But KKR’s incredible IPL 2024 title triumph brought a smile to Pandit’s face, like Gambhir and all.

Pandit, who is also known for being practical, detail-oriented, and for his strong work ethic, was seen in a completely jolly mood after KKR ended their decade-long wait to lift the IPL trophy.

Notably, the Shreyas Iyer-led KKR defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in the final on Sunday at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai and won the IPL trophy for the third time.

After their celebration at the stadium, the entire unit of the KKR team, including owners, coaches, support staff, players, and others, gathered in the dressing room, where Pandit delivered his speech as he paid tribute to each and every member associated with the team for their support.

Throughout his speech, the KKR coach was seen smiling as he couldn't hide his happiness at winning the IPL trophy. Meanwhile, a video is doing the rounds on social media where Gautam Gambhir can be seen pulling the leg of Pandit, and it was certainly one of the rarest moments when he was seen in such a cheerful mood.

As Pandit was delivering his speech in KKR’s dressing room, Gambhir jumped in and quipped, “Ladke Pagal Ho Rahe Hai Dance Karne Ke Liye. (Boys are going crazy to dance)."

After that, the players started clapping, and the KKR coach said he would finish his speech in short. He was just glowing with the success of KKR this season, and Pandit’s happy face should not surprise many.

Notably, the 62-year-old coach’s disciplined coaching style, strategic thinking, organized approach to tasks, and meticulous attention to the finer details of the game make him one of the most successful coaches in domestic cricket. Now, he also has the tag of the IPL-winning coach.
