As he completed a second run after flicking the ball to fine leg, the phone tumbled out, leaving fans and commentators amused. The 34-year-old seamer, who is on the verge of 400 First-Class wickets, had his mishap caught on camera, and the clip quickly spread across social media.

Cleadon Cricket Club made a humorous comment: "He must run their social media accounts because admin has nearly walked out with phone in pocket a few times."

Former England batsman Ravi Bopara tweeted about batting with his mobile phone in his pocket in 2016, saying, "I can't believe I just batted with my mobile phone in my left pocket accidentally."
