Bangladesh cricketer Litton Das is usually a safe wicketkeeper. During the first Test against Pakistan at Rawalpindi, Litton showed his acrobatic skills once again to take a brilliant one-handed catch behind the wickets to dismiss Babar Azam.
Left-arm seamer Shoriful Islam bowled a short-of-a-length ball down the leg side. But Babar Azam tried to fiddle with the ball and clearly inside-edged it. Litton Das, who was quite far from the ball initially, dived full stretch to his left and grabbed the ball with his left hand.
It was a soft dismissal for Babar Azam and Bangladesh were lucky to dismiss Babar Azam early. However, Litton's catch stole the limelight. Babar Azam was disappointed with himself as he should have left the ball alone.

Babar Azam was dismissed for a second-ball duck leaving Pakistan in tatters. It's not often that Babar is dismissed for a duck and the wicket surely brought a lot of relief in the Bangladesh camp.
The players mobbed the wicketkeeper Litton Das as it dismissed Pakistan's best batter of their line-up. The fall of Babar's wicket saw Pakistan slip to 16-3 inside 8.2 overs. Pakistan had already lost Abdullah Shafique and Shan Masood early. Shafique was dismissed by Shoriful's new ball partner Hasan Mahmud while Pakistan skipper Shan Masood was also dismissed by Shoriful himself.
Match start delayed due to wet outfield
Earlier, the start of the play in Rawalpindi was delayed due to the wet outfield. It was a frustrating moment not only for the players but for the spectators as well. The ground took more than enough time to be ready the toss was done in the afternoon.
A total of 48 overs have been scheduled for the day with a 20 minute tea session as well. Bangladesh won the important toss and their captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto elected to field first on a pitch having a bit of moisture after the morning rain.
Bangladesh opted to go with three seamers in the form of Shoriful Islam, Hasan Mahmud, and Nahid Rana. They also have two quality spinners in their line-up in the form of Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Bangladesh seamers on target with the new ball
Bangladesh new ball bowlers Shoriful Islam and Hasan Mahmud were on target straight away as they looked for wickets upfront. While Hasan Mahmud held up one end, Shoriful found movement off the deck consistently.
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see Nahid Rana goes about his job on this pitch. The 21-year-old youngster is known to bowl at over 140 kmph on a consistent basis. On a pitch offering help for the seamers, he can be a handul for Bangladesh.
It is the first Test of the two-match Test series between these two teams. Both teams will be looking to add crucial points as this series is a part of World Test Championship (WTC).
