He scored an unbeaten fifty and helped his side finish their innings on a big total of 203 for 8. While wickets kept falling at regular intervals from the other end, Manish Pandey stood firm at his end and made sure his team crossed the 200-run mark after the good start. Manish Pandey’s stunning save:
The unbeaten fifty was not the only major contribution from Manish Pandey in the game. The Tigers skipper also came up with a stunning save to prevent a six in the very final over of the match. It would not be wrong to say that it was a tournament-winning save from Manish Pandey.
The Warriors needed 11 runs from the final 4 balls when J Suchith hit Manvanth Kumar’s delivery towards long-off. The left-handed batsman had made a very good connection with the ball and it looked like the ball would cross the boundary easily for a six.
However, Manish Pandey had other ideas. Just before the ball could cross the ropes and land outside the boundary, he made a timely jump and caught the ball with both hands before throwing it back onto the field. He saved 4 crucial runs for his side and the Tigers went on to win the game by 8 runs.
