India National Cricket Team keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was at his hilarious best behind the stumps on Day 1 of the ongoing first Test against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The second game of the series commenced on Thursday (24th October) at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune.

Rishabh Pant played a massive role for the India National Cricket Team behind the stumps on Day 1 of the second Test. The keeper-batter took fantastic catches behind the stumps and lifted the morale of the Team when they failed to take wickets early on.

Rishabh Pant gives another hilarious moment on the field

Pant was seen asking the players to correct their body language. He also was seen passing on the instructions to the bowlers and was spot on with his DRS calls as well. The keeper-batter was also involved in a hilarious incident as well that left many in splits.

Ahead of the 3rd ball of the 78th over, Pant insisted Washington Sundar to bowl a full delivery to Ajaz Patel. The keeper-batter was passing on the inputs to the all-rounder in Hindi. The off-spinner did exactly what was told by Pant and bowled a full ball.

However, Ajaz Patel cashed on that and swung through the line and the ball sailed to the right of mid-on for a four. What caught the attention of many was the reaction of Rishabh Pant after the boundary, he came up with a hilarious reply, saying that he didn't know Ajaz understands Hindi.

Here are the comments of Rishabh Pant and the video of the incident:

"Washi aage daal sakte hai, you can bowl little fuller, thoda bahar daal sakta hai"

Rishabh Pant will be crucial for India with the bat

Pant will be important for the India National Cricket Team with the bat in the ongoing game. The keeper-batter has been going through the rich vain of form, and a lot would be reliant on them as India looks to go past New Zealand's score of 259 runs in the first innings.

Pant played a vital role for the team in the last game at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The keeper-batter was all set to hit yet another century in Test cricket but was unlucky. He fell short of his ton by just one run, and it was a heartbreak for him.

Pant played an innings of 99 runs off 105 balls. He batted with a strike rate of around 95 and also slammed 9 fours and 5 sixes in his innings. This was the 7th time in his career that he got dismissed in the 90s in the longest format of the game.

He would be keen to do the unfinished job in the ongoing game. India ended New Zealand's innings for 259 runs; India lost Rohit Sharma early and were 16/1 at the stumps on Day 1.
