Michael Bracewell on fire with the ball against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi
Before this stunning catch, Michael Bracewell opened the account for the Black Caps in the ongoing group match against the Tigers. He bowled a full delivery on middle, and Tanzid Hasan tried to swing across the line but inside-edged it, and Kane Williamson dove to his left and took a stunning catch.

Bracewell has continued his form, delivering the ball outside off, and Towhid Hridoy tried to go big but mistimed it completely. He stepped away to loft it over extra cover but ended up slicing it. Kane Williamson ran back, kept his eyes on the ball, and took a brilliant catch over his shoulder.
The off-spinner then tossed it up full outside off, tempting Mushfiqur Rahim to go for a big slog-sweep. However, Mushfiqur mistimed it completely, sending the ball high but not far enough. Rachin Ravindra took an easy catch at deep mid-wicket, sending Rahim back to the pavilion for just 2 runs.
And then Bracewell removed Mahmudullah for just 4 runs after a reckless shot to take his fourth wicket in the match. The seasoned all-rounder charged down the track to a tossed-up delivery but only managed an outside edge. William O’Rourke took an easy catch at short third man.
New Zealand set to take revenge from Bangladesh
Well, Bangladesh managed to cross the 200-run mark, but they now have only five overs and three wickets to add a few quick runs to have any chances in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025 match against the Black Caps at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
Notably, Bangladesh pulled off a stunning 5-wicket win over New Zealand in their last Champions Trophy clash in Cardiff. Chasing 266, the Tigers were struggling at 33/4 before Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah rescued them with brilliant centuries, guiding the team to victory and into the semifinals, where they suffered a nine-wicket defeat against India.
However, this time, the New Zealand team is far ahead of the Tigers and is one of the favorites to win the Champions Trophy 2025, thanks to their red-hot form in all three departments.
