The Men in Blue are on the verge of suffering a loss in the second Test match. Rohit Sharma's side lost seven wickets for 178 runs in the fourth innings while chasing a massive target of 359 runs. Notably, the Indian team is currently trailing 0-1 in the three-match Test series after losing the first game.

The dismissal took place on the second ball of the 36th over in India's second innings. Mitchell Santner bowled a slow and flighted delivery that straightened after pitching. The ball missed Sarfaraz Khan's outside edge and hit the off stump. Santner completed his second consecutive five-wicket haul.

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin At The Crease

Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin are currently at the crease. The team still needs more than 170 runs to win the match, which looks like a tough challenge for them. They are the last two recognized batters in the line, with lower order batters Akash Deep and Jasprit Bumrah yet to come to bat.

What Sarfaraz Khan Did Against England Was Commendable - Aakash Chopra

Former India batter Aakash Chopra has backed Sarfaraz Khan's inclusion in the squad for the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25 series in Australia. Chopra said that Sarfaraz should be included for the squad, given his previous performances, particularly against England.

However, the former opening batter said that he doesn’t see it as certain that Sarfaraz will make the playing XI, but selection for the series is crucial given his previous performances.

"In the squad, yes, in the playing XI, we don't know yet. You will need to carry enough, and it might be a larger squad anyways, it is a five-Test match series. First time in Australia, we are going to play five matches," Chopra said during a media interaction.

"Sarfaraz, whenever he has played, it is just not about the last Test match, what he did against England was also commendable, so there is no reason for us to even speculate that he won't be part of the touring squad, I think it is a given he will be there," he added.
