Left-arm fast bowler Mitchell Starc had a forgettable outing during the fourth ODI of the ongoing five-match series between Australia and England. Mitchell Starc recorded an unwanted record for the most runs conceded by an Australian bowler in a single over in the history of ODI cricket.

Australia skipper Mitchell Marsh opted to bowl first after winning the toss at Lord's in London on Friday, September 27. The hosts scored 312 runs in 39 overs in a rain-affected match. All-rounder Liam Livingstone stole the show with aggressive batting in the final over of England's innings.

Liam Livingstone scored 62 runs off just 27 balls, with the help of three boundaries and seven sixes. The all-rounder was added to the squad as a replacement for Jos Buttler. The hosts secured a 186-run victory against the Mitchell Marsh-led side in the fourth ODI, leveling the five-match series at 2-2.

Liam Livingstone came to bat after Harry Brook was dismissed by Adam Zampa. He played aggressively after settling at the crease. The right-handed batter had scored 34 runs off 21 balls before the final over. Livingstone smashed 28 runs off the final over of the innings against Mitchell Starc.

Liam Livingstone started the over with a six over long-on. He was beaten by a short ball on the second delivery. However, he regained his momentum by smashing three consecutive sixes in the over. The England middle-order batter concluded Starc's over with a boundary over backward point.

Mitchell Starc registered an unwanted record for conceding the most runs in a single over by an Australian bowler. Starc surpassed the previous mark of 26 runs shared by Simon Davis, Craig McDermott, Xavier Doherty, Adam Zampa, and Cameron Green. This over was also the third-most expensive in international matches for Australia.
