The cricketing world was expecting a fierce duel between two of Pakistan cricket's brightest stars.

However, Mohammad Amir won the duel with ease. It took the left-arm pacer just four deliveries to get the better of Babar Azam.

Mohammad Amir opened the bowling for Quetta Gladiators and was hit for a four by Saim Ayub on the very first ball. Ayub then took a single to give the strike to Babar Azam. Amir made his intentions clear by bowling a sharp bouncer to Babar straight away. Babar was hit on the helmet but managed to continue batting.

The bouncer was followed by a dot before Babar took a single. Later in the third over, Amir dismissed Babar on the very first delivery. It was a trademark inswinging delivery from Amir and rapped Babar on the pads. The umpire had no hesitation in raising his finger.

Mohammad Amir's animated celebration:

Amir animatedly celebrated Babar's wicket. More than the wicket, it was his celebration that became the talk of the town. Immediately after dismissing Babar, Amir charged towards the Gladiators' dugout, where mentor Viv Richards was sitting.

With Amir looking highly animated, the former West Indies skipper was quick to tell the pacer to stay calm and focus on the match.

Watch:

Amir went on to bowl a fine spell, conceding just 18 runs in 3 overs and picking up a wicket. However, the pick of the Gladiators' bowlers was Faheem Ashraf, who took 5 wickets.

Thanks to his sensational spell, Gladiators bowled out Zalmi for just 114 runs and won the game by 64 runs.
