Pakistan Shaheens’ Maaz Sadaqat and Mohammad Faiq's celebration after a dominant win over India A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 turned heads, considering the tense situation between the two arch-rivals and the Asia Cup 2025 drama.
The Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 clash saw a completely one-sided contest on Sunday (November 16) in Doha, as Pakistan Shaheens humiliated India A with a dominant eight-wicket win. They chased down the target of 137 in just 13.2 overs with a massive 40 balls to spare.
After winning the toss, India A opted to bat first and started brightly. They looked set for a strong total as Vaibhav Suryavanshi, fresh off a record-breaking century in the previous match, continued his explosive form by smashing 45 runs off 28 balls.

Naman Dhir added firepower with a quick 35 off 20. At 91 for 3, India A looked in full control and ready to post something challenging on the board against Pakistan Shaheens. But everything collapsed in a flash, as India A fell apart dramatically, losing seven wickets for just 45 runs.

Shahid Aziz was the standout bowler for the Pakistan Shaheens with three crucial strikes, while Saad Masood and Maaz Sadaqat scalped two wickets each, turning India A’s innings into a disaster. Apart from Vaibhav, Dhir, and Harsh Dubey (19), no Indian batter could cross the 10-run mark.
Chasing 137, Pakistan Shaheens opener Maaz Sadaqat stole the spotlight with a sensational unbeaten 79 off 47 balls, hitting seven fours and four sixes against India.
Sadaqat got a lucky escape when Suryavanshi dropped a simple catch at point, and then Nehal Wadhera’s efforts also went in vain, and the youngster made the most of opportunities.
Mohammad Faiq’s bold celebration goes viral after crushing India A
Sadaqat’s performance was the complete package. His all-round brilliance made him the obvious choice for Player of the Match. After crushing India A in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan Shaheens celebrated a victory in fashion that is making noise on social media.
After taking the Shaheens over the line, Maaz Sadaqat and Mohammad Faiq bowed down on the pitch, touching their foreheads to the ground, and thanked God for this victory.

India A must beat Oman to stay alive in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025
Meanwhile, India A’s crushing loss to Pakistan Shaheens has put them in a tough spot, and their last group match against Oman has now turned into a do-or-die game. Only the top two teams from Group A will reach the semifinals, and India A must win their next match to keep their hopes alive.
Presently, India A are second in the group with two points from two matches, while Pakistan are sitting comfortably at the top with four points from two games. This makes the India vs. Oman clash a virtual quarterfinal, as the winning side will move into the semifinals, and the losers will be knocked out.
The team finishing first in Group A will play the second-placed team from Group B, and the second-placed team from Group A will face the top team of Group B. Given that, there is still a real chance that India A and Pakistan A could meet again, possibly even in the Rising Stars Asia Cup 2025 final.
