Watch- Mohammad Naim gets out in the most bizarre fashion in BPL 2024
The Bangladesh Premier League match between Durdanto Dhaka and Comilla Victorians saw one of the most bizarre dismissals of the league as Mohammad Naim was out hit-wicket after scoring 64 off 45 deliveries.
The dismissal happened during the 17th over of the Dhaka innings where Mohammad Naim was looking to reverse scoop a slower bouncer by Matthew Forde but ended up hitting the ball with the toe-end of the bat and then in the follow-through he hit the stumps with his bat and was declared hit-wicket.
Mohammad Naim was dismissed most embarrassingly in the BPL and everyone was surprised to see a set batter lose his wicket in this fashion. Durdanto Dhaka scored 175/4 in their 20 overs and gave a target of 176 to Comilla Victorians.
In reply, Comilla Victorians laid back on a sensational unbeaten ton from Towhid Hridoy and chased the target with four wickets and a ball to spare. Towhid Hridoy scored 108* off 57 deliveries hitting eight fours and seven sixes in his innings.
The video of Mohammad Naim being hit-wicket is going viral on Twitter and it is absurd to watch a batter throw away his wicket like that. The ball was going for a wide if he would’ve left the ball alone but he decided to hit Matthew Forde for a reverse sweep and in the follow through hit the stumps with his bat. Bangladesh Premier League has never seen such a dismissal in the league’s history and the video is being surfaced all over the social media.
The first half of the Bangladesh Premier League has been finished and now all seven teams are ready to fight for a place in the Playoffs where the top four teams will compete for the championship, BPL batter Mohammad Naim must be disappointed by himself after giving his wicket in this fashion after getting set and playing a valuable innings of 64 runs in 45 balls.
