Usman Khan Smashes Half-Century Despite Lack of Support from the Other End

Usman Khan reached his half-century in just 29 deliveries but lacked strong support from the rest of the lineup. He was dismissed after scoring 61 runs off 40 balls, including four boundaries and as many sixes.

Usman's knock ended in the penultimate over when he was run out while attempting a second run. Michael Bracewell (9), Iftikhar Ahmed (10), and Chris Jordan (6* off 5) failed to accelerate the scoring. Multan Sultans posted 168 for 5 in their 20 overs.

Islamabad’s bowling attack — Meredith (1/33), Holder (1/25), and Shadab Khan (1/29) — did well to control the scoring during the middle and death overs.

Multan Sultans' bowlers struggled to contain Islamabad’s batters, with the target being reached in just 17.1 overs, finishing with seven wickets in hand. Islamabad remain at the top of the table with 10 points from five games, maintaining their unbeaten record.

Josh Little failed to break through early, and Chris Jordan conceded 24 runs in his two overs. The Sultans remain near the bottom of the points table.

Islamabad will have a week's break before facing Lahore Qalandars again on April 30. The Shadab Khan-led team comfortably defeated them in the PSL 2025 opener.
