Manav Suthar turns wrecker-in-chief in his debut Test
Only blocking actually did not work well in favor of the Afghanistan cricket team, as they bundled only for 152 runs against India’s first innings’ 564. Rahmat Shah was the only batter from the visitors’ end who displayed some resistance against the Indian bowling attack, scoring 60 runs from 135 balls before being bowled out by the debutant spinner Manav Suthar. Shah’s 60-run knock was decorated with nine 4s, one 6, and a lot of defenses.
In the first innings, Mohammed Siraj returned wicketless after delivering 9 overs. It was the spinner Suthar, who took 6 wickets in 22 overs and dismantled Afghanistan’s batting order completely.
