After a tragic 22-run defeat against England at Lord's, India are now behind in the series with a margin of 2-1, as the hosts dominated at Lord's. Mohammed Siraj was one of the players with the biggest heartbreaks, as he was the last wicket to fall that led to India's defeat.
Ravindra Jadeja, the veteran all-rounder, played a huge role in contributing to the majority of the runs as he paired alongside the tailenders Jasprit Bumrah and Siraj to keep India's hopes alive in the Lord's Test.
Siraj, the last man in for India, batted diligently for 29 balls before being dismissed on the 30th delivery in the most unfortunate manner. The defended ball took the inner edge, and it rolled over the pitch to go and hit the stumps.
After the loss, India will look to bounce back, and hence, after resting for two days, every player is up to take part in the intensive sessions for India before the team leaves for Manchester.
Religious controversies surround Mohammed Siraj in England
Amid the current situation in India, there has been widespread hatred in the nation due to religious controversies. Now, the same has taken over the Indian dressing room.
A recent video uploaded by RevSportz from India's training session found Mohammed Siraj standing on the balcony outside the dressing room while Hanuman Chalisa echoed in the air of the Indian dressing room.

Though alongside Mohammed Siraj, Rishabh Pant was also seen on the balcony, yet the fans on X dragged the pacer into unnecessary controversy.
Mohammed Siraj's excessive workload in India's Test lineup
With the day-by-day progress of the Indian red-ball game and with a busy schedule ahead, Mohammed Siraj will also have to keep a watch over his growing workload.
In the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, whose workload has been looked over closely scrutinized by the Indian management, Mohammed Siraj emerges as the second Indian pacer in command. Even in the recent series, Siraj emerged as the country's hero against England at Edgbaston, as he picked a 6-fer in the first innings in Bumrah's absence.
He remains the only Indian pacer to have featured in all of the Test matches that have been played so far, as Siraj has been among wickets with 13 to his name and the most number of overs bowled by any Indian bowler.
India look forward to an intense practice session before the Manchester Test
India rested for two days after the conclusion of the Lord's Test and will now engage in the practice session on the 17th of July before they go on to take further rests and opt for only optional practice sessions until their travelling, which is scheduled for the 19th.
The Indian team would then reach Manchester and have the remaining practice sessions scheduled there. This high-priority session was preceded by Hanuman Chalisa and is likely to feature all players from the side.
