Mohammed Siraj seemingly lost his cool and threw the ball aggressively towards Janith Liyanage in the ongoing third ODI between India and Sri Lanka at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Tempers flew as India finally managed to claw their way back into the game by taking some quick wickets. Sri Lanka opted to bat first after winning the toss and their openers totally justified the call. Pathum Nissanka and Avishka Fernando shared an 89-run stand for the first wicket to give their team a solid start in the crucial game.

It was followed by another big partnership as Fernando and Kusal Mendis frustrated the visitors by adding 82 runs for the second wicket. Riyan Parag finally broke the stand by dismissing Fernando for 96 runs and celebrated the wicket with an aggressive celebration.

12 runs later, he struck again and dismissed Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka too. This time Virat Kohli showed his aggressive side too as he gave Asalanka a fiery send-off. Soon after, Mohammed Siraj was also seen showing his aggressive side as he threw the ball in anger towards Janith Liyanage.

The incident took place in the 41st over when the India pacer was bowling. On the fifth ball of the over, Janith Liyanage pushed the ball back towards Mohammed Siraj who wasted no time in having a shy at the striker's end. Janith Liyanage did well to move out of the way before Mohammed Siraj walked up towards him and was seen saying something to him.

Talking about the game, Sri Lanka finished their innings on 248 for 7. After Asalanka's dismissal, the hosts lost three more wickets in quick time to find themselves reeling at 199/6 from 183/2. Kusal Mendis and Kamindu Mendis then stopped the rot and helped Sri Lanka post the highest total in the ongoing series.

Sri Lanka are already leading the series 1-0 and a win in the ongoing game will end their long wait for a series win over India. They have not won a bilateral ODI series against India since 1997.
