Gujarat Titans fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has played a crucial role for his team in the ongoing game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The 19th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Mohammed Siraj took Gujarat Titans off to a flying start with the ball as he breathed fire with the ball, causing trouble to the Sunrisers Hyderabad batters. The fast bowler first removed Travis Head and then followed it up with the wicket of Abhishek Sharma.
While his bowling in the powerplay was exceptional, he also made a blunder on the field, which cost the team extra runs. It was during the 2nd ball of the 9th over when Rashid Khan was bowling to Heinrich Klaasen, who was trying to rebuild the innings.
Rashid Khan bowled a fuller delivery outside off, to which Heinrich Klaasen played a drive to wide long-off, where Mohammed Siraj was stationed. The fast bowler didn't give his best as he came up with the sloppy effort.
He failed to collect the ball with one hand and was seen staring at the batters momentarily before picking the ball and throwing it towards the stumps. Heinrich Klaasen took advantage of that as he went on to steal an extra single.

Mohammed Siraj returns with the figures of 4/17
Mohammed Siraj later came to make a great impact for his team in the death overs. The Gujarat Titans pacer registered his career-best figures in the league as he picked two more wickets in the death, Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh, returning with the figures of 4/17.
His magical effort with the ball saw Gujarat Titans restricting Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of just 152 runs. Along with him, Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore also bagged two wickets each in the match.
I have worked on my bowling and fitness, feeling fresh and I am enjoying bowling - Mohammed Siraj
Mohammed Siraj talked about his performance with the ball in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He said that he has worked hard on his fitness and his feeling fresh. The pacer also talked about how the use of saliva has helped bowlers in the league. Speaking after the innings, he said:
"I am enjoying a lot. I have worked on my bowling and fitness, feeling fresh and I am enjoying bowling. Even if the ball tails a bit (due to the use of saliva), it becomes easier to get wickets (especially bowled and lbw) dismissals.
"The wicket is on the slower side. Just tried to attack the stumps as much as I can. I think they have scored 10 runs more than what we would have liked."
