MS Dhoni acted immediately after Ravindra Jadeja was forced to change his bat during the ongoing match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
The incident took place immediately after Jadeja walked out to bat. The Indian allrounder had to come out to bat inside the powerplay after CSK lost two wickets inside five overs.
CSK again struggles with the bat
Asked to bat first, the hosts were off to a disastrous start as Mohammed Shami dismissed Shaik Rasheed for a golden duck on the very first delivery of the match.
Sam Curran could not make an impact with the bat either and was dismissed by Harshal Patel. The England star departed after scoring 9 runs off 10 balls. Curran was replaced by Jadeja in the middle.
However, even before Jadeja could take the strike, he was asked to change the bat after it failed the gauge test. The on-field umpire checked Jadeja's bat, and the gauge did not pass through it. As a result, Jadeja was forced to change it.
