Pakistan cricketer Muhammad Hurraira wowed the viewers with a brilliant catch in the first Test of the two-match series against the West Indies. Muhammad Hurraira's reflex catch dismissed West Indies batter Keacy Carty for a golden duck off Sajid Khan's bowling at the Multan Cricket Stadium on January 18.
Hurraira was handed his maiden Test cap by Babar Azam on Day 1 of the series opener. The 22-year-old registered scores of 74 and 80 in the two innings for the Pakistan Shaheens in the three-day warm-up game against the West Indies. However, he managed 6 runs off 15 balls in Pakistan's first innings.

The incident took place in the third over of the West Indies' first innings. Muhammad Hurraira took a fine catch at short leg to dismiss Keacy Carty off Sajid Khan’s bowling. The ball bounced extra as it turned in, and Carty tried to flick it but failed to keep it down.
Hurraira, anticipating the shot well, parried the ball with his right hand before catching it on the rebound with his left hand as he went down. This stunning catch provided two wickets in two balls for Sajid Khan, putting the West Indies in early trouble. Carty was dismissed for a golden duck on the second day.

The Kraigg Brathwaite-led team lost wickets at regular intervals against the spin duo of Sajid Khan and Noman Ali. As of the time of writing, the Windies were at 66/8 in 16 overs, with Gudakesh Motie (9) and Jomel Warrican (0) at the crease. Noman and Sajid picked up four wickets each.
Pakistan Bundled Out for 230 After Shakeel-Rizwan Stand
The West Indies took four wickets for 46 runs in Pakistan's first innings. However, middle-order batters Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan put together a 141-run partnership for the fifth wicket. Shakeel was dismissed for 84, just 16 runs shy of a fifth Test century, while Rizwan was dismissed for 71 runs.
Sajid and Khurram briefly added 25 quick runs before Jomel Warrican returned to clean up the tail. Pakistan was bowled out for 230 just before the lunch break, losing 6 wickets for 43 runs. For the West Indies, Warrican and Jayden Seales took three wickets each, while Kevin Sinclair secured two wickets.

Muhammad Hurraira said that he wants to make a name for himself in international cricket. Reflecting on his journey, Hurraira described representing Pakistan as a huge honor, noting that he has gained valuable experience from being part of the team for several series.
"Representing my country is a huge honor. I have been with the team for several series, and I’ve learned a lot from the experience," Huraira said.
“I don’t have the words to express what I felt when I was told I had been selected. My continuous effort is to work on my basics and techniques,” he added.
