He is living the dream - Aaron Finch on Mitchell Marsh
During a discussion on ESPNcricinfo ahead of the match, the former Australia skipper Aaron Finch said that Mitchell Marsh, who scored 45 off 36 against DC, is having a dream run in the IPL.
He revealed that Marsh enjoys opening the batting in T20 cricket and opined that the combination of Marsh and Pooran is a great one for the Lucknow Super Giants. Finch said:
"He is living the dream. I guess somebody who is not as mobile as some of the youngsters in the field and he is not able to bowl at the moment, it is a no-brainer, absolutely. At the same time, he loves opening the batting and it is an opportunity that he has got reasonably recently in T20 cricket.
"Two out, he has got so much power. He is a very, very good player of fast bowling. You combine that, if you lose an early wicket and you get Marsh and Pooran together, you cannot bowl spin to Pooran early and you struggle to bowl pace at different times to Marsh.
"They are actually a great combination when they are batting together and can take the game away from an opposition really quick. He just looks content with how he is playing. Anything half short, he is just smacking it over the leg side. He is using his strength and his power to his advantage."
