Bigg Boss winner Munawar Faruqui stunned the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium crowd in Mumbai during the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL). The exhibition match of the league took place between the Master XI side and Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI.

Sachin Tendulkar stole the limelight during the exhibition match of the league between Master XI side and Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI. He oozed his class with the bat while playing and thoroughly entertained the crowd with his short innings at the crease.

Sachin Tendulkar timed the ball to perfection right from the start and hit some big hits in his innings. However, the introduction of Munawar Faruqui into the attack changed the complexion of the game, and the whole crowd was stunned as the comedian removed batting great.

Munawar Faruqui was introduced into the attack in the 5th over by skipper Akshay Kumar. He didn’t take long to make an impact as he removed Sachin Tendulkar on the second ball. The batting great tried to play an unorthodox shot behind the stumps but he didn’t get the proper connection.

The ball took the outside edge of the bat and was taken easily by wicketkeeper Naman Ojha. As Sachin Tendulkar perished, Munawar Faruqui was elated and celebrated the wicket with his teammates Robin Uthappa, skipper Akshay Kumar, and Prateik Babbar.

Here’s the video:

Sachin Tendulkar scored 30 runs off 17 balls and gave a great start to his team. The batting great also stole the limelight for his gesture towards para-cricketer Amir Hussain Lone. During his recent trip to Kashmir, the former India skipper gifted bats to the cricketer.

He also invited Amir Hussain Lone and his family to the opening ceremony of the ISPL. If this was not enough, Sachin Tendulkar opened the innings with para-cricketer during the exhibition match of the league between Master XI side and Bollywood icon Akshay Kumar’s Khiladi XI.

When Indian players turn up for their domestic teams, it raises the quality of play for youngsters – Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar recently shared his verdict on the importance of playing domestic cricket for the state teams. He believes that Indian players turning up for the state team raises the quality of play for youngsters.

The batting great highlighted that during his playing days, he was passionate about playing for Mumbai whenever he had the opportunity. Taking to his Twitter account while congratulating Mumbai for reaching finals, he explained:

“When Indian players turn up for their domestic teams, it raises the quality of play for youngsters and sometimes new talent is identified. It also gives the national players a chance to sometimes rediscover the basics.

“Throughout my career, I remained passionate about playing for Mumbai whenever I had the opportunity. Growing up, we had almost 7-8 Indian players in our dressing room, and it was fun to play alongside them.”

The Indian domestic circuit of late has been getting a lot of importance. This comes after Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan didn’t agree to play for their state teams and were terminated from the BCCI contract.
