Young Mumbai batter Musheer Khan was the hero with the bat for his team on the opening day of the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024 match. The game between India A and India B side is taking place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
On what has been a tough day to bat, Musheer Khan was the lone warrior for his team and made sure that they ended the day on high. The right-hander came to bat at No.3, and after that, he saw wickets falling quickly at the other hand and the team reeling at 94/7.
Musheer soaked in all the pressure and ensured that he took his team out of trouble. He started slow, but once he had his eye in, he made sure that he not only held the one end but also scored runs for his team, taking them to a total of over 200 runs.
Musheer Khan with the new ball got tested as well but he made sure that he stayed there and fought for his team. The fast bowler tackled the fast bowlers while walking down the pitch and then looked extremely solid against the spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Tanush Kotian.
Musheer Khan first brought up his half-century and then stayed focused. The 19-year-old came up with a grand batting performance, and along with Navdeep Saini put pressure back on the opposition. The pacer supported him well as the duo added an unbeaten 100+ stand.
Musheer, who is making his debut in the Duleep Trophy, made sure that he makes his first game in the tournament special. He racked up a sensational century and made everyone stand and applaud him for his performance, especially with other batters struggling to make a mark.
Musheer also got special appreciation from his brother Sarfaraz Khan, who is also part of the same team. The India batter came rushing out of the dressing room as his brother slammed the ton and cheered for him in jubilation as the young batter celebrated.
