Babar Azam is one of the best batsmen in the world and Naseem Shah is one of the most promising young pacers going around.
Babar and Naseem sparred in the nets of the National Stadium in Karachi ahead of the fifth T20I of Pakistan’s seven-match series against England, with the series level at 2-2.
In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Official Twitter handle, Shah is seen bowling at Babar. There were some gorgeous drives and flicks on display from Babar but Naseem Shah troubled him with a short ball as the Pakistan skipper missed his attempted pull.

Shah bowls a bouncer that hits Babar right on his chest, and the batsman can be seen in some discomfort for a split second, as captured in the video.
The Pakistan skipper responds to the young pacer with a biggie down the ground over long off. That shot connected right in the middle of the bat, making the sweet sound that reverberates across the empty stadium.
Babar Azam, who struggled with the bat during the Asia Cup, scored a brilliant century in a 200-run chase during the T20I series against England and helped Pakistan beat England in the 2nd T20I by 10 wickets in Karachi. The opener has 185 runs in four matches against England in the seven-match T20 series, including a 110*.
Naseem made his T20I debut against India in the Asia Cup 2022 and has been impressive since then. He dismissed KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav in the match in Dubai. He impressed with his performances in his debut tournament, taking seven wickets in five matches and consistently clocking around 150, as well as winning the crucial Super Four match against Afghanistan with the bat.
Shah has only played one game in this series against England, conceding 41 runs without taking any wickets in the first T20I.
