Barbados Royals ignite CPL 2024 campaign with Naveen-ul-Haq's viral video

Ahead of the CPL 2024 opener, the Barbados Royals shared a clip on their social media handle X featuring Naveen-ul-Haq, which is currently going viral on social media.

Well, the video captured the various moments of Virat Kohli, India’s batting legend who had an IPL history with Naveen.

In one of the clips, a viral segment was showing a famous American YouTuber, Darren Jason Watkins Jr., known as IShowSpeed, having a discussion regarding the IPL controversy involving India’s current head coach, Gautam Gambhir, who was LSG mentor in IPL 2023, and Naveen.

One image featured Kohli getting honored by the Indian government for his contribution to the game.

Well, after some teasing moments, Naveen was also taunted by England’s Test captain and dynamic all-rounder Ben Stokes before receiving a phone call at his team hotel room.

The Afghan pacer can be heard inquiring about the TV channel, where he can watch the CPL.

Naveen got another powerful shot as he was suggested to watch the tournament on channel number 18, which is Kohli’s jersey number. After tiring with the pranks, Naveen said, “Stop it. Find something new.”

Now this clip is all over social media, despite having shorted out everything during the ODI World Cup 2023 in India.

During the India vs. Afghanistan group match, Kohli hugged Naveen-ul-Haq after asking fans to stop booing the Afghan pacer in Delhi, ending the reported feud between them.

Heinrich Klaasen and Sikandar Raza to miss the entire CPL 2024

Meanwhile, South Africa’s explosive batter Heinrich Klaasen will miss the CPL 2024 due to a pressing family situation.

Klaasen is widely regarded as one of the most formidable power hitters in the game, particularly hammering the spin attacks.

His absence is a significant blow to the St. Lucia Kings, who had secured his services in June for the upcoming season.

In another setback, Sikandar Raza, Zimbabwe’s T20I captain has also withdrawn from the CPL 2024 after sustaining an injury.

Zimbabwe’s star all-rounder confirmed that he would be missing the entire tournament this year.

The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots have yet to announce Raza's replacement for this season.
