Nitish Rana’s Disagreement With Umpire Calmly Resolved
Nitish Rana’s disagreement with the umpire did not escalate, and he returned to his fielding position. He has captained Delhi in domestic cricket and also led KKR during the 2023 IPL season.
Rana’s team, the West Delhi Lions, suffered their first defeat of the 2025 season when they lost to Purani Dilli-6 by 15 runs. Rana scored 15 runs off 14 balls while also contributing with the ball by bowling one over.
They had previously won two consecutive matches by chasing down targets effectively. The West Delhi Lions are eager to bounce back in their upcoming game against the East Delhi Riders. In the season opener, the Lions had beaten the Riders convincingly by seven wickets.
Ayush Doseja’s Century Not Enough For West Delhi Lions
Earlier, Purani Dilli 6 posted a total of 186 runs in their 20 overs. Samarth Seth scored 52 runs off 36 balls, while Dev Lakra added 47 from 31 deliveries. The team maintained momentum throughout the innings. Ekansh Dobal finished with an unbeaten 20 runs from just 11 balls.

The Lions fell short by 18 runs, finishing on 171 for 8. Rajneesh Dadar was instrumental in restricting the Lions, as he took two crucial wickets for just 19 runs in his four overs, applying pressure during the middle overs.
