The DPL tournament has often been witness to some of the most exciting cricket action, while the field has often blazed up due to some heated arguments. The most recent incident came in the match between the South Delhi Superstarz and the West Delhi Lions.
The two teams played in a thrilling knockout contest in the Eliminator, where the South Delhi Superstarz had posted a massive total of 201. West Delhi Lions skipper Nitish Rana, the left-handed batter, was stroking the ball exceptionally well as he faced Digvesh Rathi in the match.
The spinner, often known for his unorthodox techniques, showed Rathi pulling out during the run-up, leaving Rana waiting at the crease while the batter also attempted a sweep. Just a moment later, when Rathi took his run-up again, Rana walked away deliberately, further escalating the feud.

The drama soon reached its peak when Nitish Rana audaciously reverse-swept Digvesh Rathi's ball for a six over the point boundary. After the six, Nitish Rana quickly turned to signing off his bat, imitating Digvesh Rathi's usual style of celebration every time he picks a wicket.
After this incident, the two players exchanged words in a heated contest, while the teammates of both players, South Delhi Superstarz and West Delhi Lions, had to intervene to prevent the situation from spiraling into a physical altercation.
Rana led West Delhi Lions to glory with a captivating hundred
Chasing a record total of 202 runs, the Lions suffered early hiccups with two early wickets falling inside the power play. However, skipper Nitish Rana joined hands with Krish Yadav to steady the innings of the Lions.
The duo stitched a long partnership of 97 runs before the third wicket fell in the 11th over of the game. This had swung the momentum towards the Lions' favour; however, Krish looked fluent. After his dismissal, the skipper unfurled his wide array of shots as he scored a match-winning ton.
Rana amassed 134* runs off just 55 balls, as he batted with a strike rate of 243.64 and hit 15 sixes in his innings, converting the tough chase into a cakewalk.
