India U19 batter Adarsh Singh was at the receiving end of a hilarious dismissal during the ongoing game against Pakistan in the U19 Asia Cup 2023. The game between the two arch-rivals is taking place at the ICC Academy Ground in Dubai.

Adarsh was the shining light for India against Pakistan in the ongoing U19 Asia Cup game. The southpaw played a vital knock for his side and made sure that his side ended up with a decent total on the board in the high-pressure game in Dubai.

Opening the batting Adarsh Singh played a staggering innings under pressure despite wickets falling at the other end. He was looking all set for a big knock but his stay at the crease was cut short by bizarre dismissal as was caught behind in a most unusual way.

Adarsh Singh tried to sweep Arafat Minhas’s delivery that was outside off. He, however, didn’t get a good connection and ended up getting an under-edge. Pakistan U19 skipper Saad Baig, who was behind the stumps, showed great reflexes and caught the ball between his legs.

Adarsh Singh ended with an innings of 62 runs off 81 balls. He played some classy shots in his innings and entertained many. He also hit 4 fours and 1 six in his innings and made sure that his side got a decent start.

Adarsh Singh’s knock powers India U19 to a total of 259 runs on board

India were asked to bat first and they had a decent start with the bat. Adarsh Singh (62) and Arshin Kulkarni (24) added 39 runs for the opening partnership but after that few wickets fell putting them on the back foot. Pakistan kept chipping in with wickets at regular intervals and put India under pressure.

Uday Saharan (60) and Sachin Dhas (58) then slammed magnificent half-centuries that brought India back into the game. Thanks to their vital fifties, the Boys in Blue posted a total of 259 runs on the board. For Pakistan, Mohammad Zeeshan was the pick of the bowlers as he bagged four wickets and returned with figures of 4/46. Apart from him, Amir Hassan and Ubaid Shah picked two wickets each.

With the ball, India struck early as they removed Shamyl Hussain for just 8 runs. Murugan Abhishek struck for his team as the Pakistan batter was caught by Adarsh Singh. However, after the early blow, Pakistan have put pressure on India as Shahzaib Khan and Azan Awais are batting staggeringly well.
