Notably, Ihsanullah is known for his raw pace and aggressive bowling, but he failed to impress in his four appearances for Pakistan, taking only six wickets in four T20I matches.
Meanwhile, Pakistani players are currently involved in the Champions One-Day Cup in the lead-up to the upcoming three-match Test series against England at home.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already announced the squad for the home Test series against England, and the hosts are looking forward to returning to form after an embarrassing series loss to Bangladesh at home.
Danish Kaneria blasts compare Pakistan team to 'Mohalla Side'
Recently, former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria has drawn a sharp comparison between the Pakistan cricket team and a 'Mohalla Team'. He blamed the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the decline of the game in the country. The PCB has been under heavy scrutiny, especially after Pakistan’s recent whitewash at the hands of Bangladesh on home soil.
Kaneria didn’t hold back in his criticism, particularly targeting Pakistan Test captain Shan Masood and white-ball captain Babar Azam for their lackluster performances during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, who recorded their first-ever Test series win on Pakistan soil.
Danish Kaneria was quoted as saying by IANS: “The level of the Pakistan cricket team is so low that even a mohalla team is better than them, and all this is because of the PCB. They are to be blamed for such a below-par show from the national side. The luxuries of the captain's ‘kursi' (chair) and the chairmanship at the PCB spoil minds.”
Kaneria added, “I don't know why Babar Azam was given the leadership responsibility despite Sarfaraz Ahmed's good captaincy. Currently, there is no captain material in the Pakistan team. A captain is someone who takes the pressure on his shoulders and carries the team forward with his performance, which both Babar and Shan Masood have failed to do.”
