Avesh Khan hammered for 26 runs in an over

The right-arm pacer Avesh Khan had a terrible outing in the match against PBKS as he leaked 57 runs in the four overs that he bowled and went wicketless.

Avesh's worst was seen in the 18th over of the innings when Shashank Singh and Prabhsimran Singh went berserk against him. He was hit for four by Shashank Singh's reverse ramp on the first ball, and he followed it up with a wide, which left Rishabh Pant angry.

On the second ball of the over, Shashank Singh hit a four and then took a single on the next ball to bring Prabhsimran Singh on the strike.

The opening batter decided to punish Avesh Khan more as he first hit a six over cow corner and then hit a four. On the last ball of the over, Prabhsimran Singh launched him for a massive six overlong off to register 26 runs off the over.

We are up for the challenge - Avesh Khan's teammate

Speaking ahead of the match to the broadcasters, LSG batter Mitchell Marsh said that they are always up for the challenge. He said:

"We are up for the challenge. Every game is a must-win now. We had a few days off prior to coming into the camp here. What a special place to be."

Mitchell Marsh further expressed his surprise over the teenagers scoring big in the Indian Premier League and said:

"[On watching teenagers scoring big] It makes you feel a bit old. Even though I'm only 33 and hopefully got a bit of cricket left in me. Every tournament around the world, we have seen these talented young kids coming through and it's been great to watch and Punjab have a few of themselves."

Mitchell Marsh, in the end, said that he loved the opportunity that he has got to open the innings for the Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. He added that he has built a good relationship with Aiden Markram both on and off the field. He said:

"[Best batting season for himself] I've loved the opportunity to open the batting and formed a really good relationship on and off the field with Aiden so it's been nice to be a lot more consistent and hopefully I can keep going and contributing to a few more wins for us."
