Ramandeep Singh fails again in IPL 2025

The explosive KKR batsman Ramandeep Singh has looked poor with the bat in the ongoing season of the IPL.

He has gotten the opportunity to bat five times in IPL 2025, and he returned with scores of 6*, 22, 1, 0, and 1. His latest failure came against GT as he fell in the 17th over of the innings.

On the first ball of the over, Prasidh Krishna bowled a 144.5 kmph good length delivery to Ramandeep Singh, who smashed it back around Prasidh's shins. The pacer quickly went low and, with barely any reaction time to pouch that, he completed a stunning return catch.

Ramandeep Singh was shocked after his dismissal as he couldn't believe his luck, having smashed the ball down the pitch hardly.

Notably, Krishna is having a great season with the ball in the Indian Premier League 2025 as he is currently the leading wicket-taker and holds the purple cap with 16 wickets in 8 matches.

He's been really aggressive - Aaron Finch hails Prasidh Krishna

Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the KKR vs GT clash, the former Australia skipper Aaron Finch lauded pacer Prasidh Krishna for his heroics with the ball and said that he has been really aggressive. Aaron Finch also talked about other GT bowlers and elaborated:

"He's (Prasidh Krishna) getting bounce. He's been really aggressive. Particularly through the middle overs where wickets are so important in T20 cricket. I think Siraj is somebody who is either three for 20 or none for 40+. He just lacks that bit of consistency at times where if it's not his day with the ball, just find a way to be defensive. To look to get out of overs and almost play a selfless role with the ball."

"And Rashid, he hasn't been as effective as what he was when he played for Sunrisers. But people have played him for a lot longer now. They're picking him better. They're looking to be more aggressive against him too. Which I think in the past, teams were comfortable to sit on him and try and play around him. Whereas now they're saying, you know what? We're coming after you. We're going to try and put the pressure back on him first up. But his game will evolve with that as well. He'll come up with some plans.

"I think overall, the way that they're playing, they're still playing good cricket. Regardless of who's having a good day. They're still getting the job done, which is an impressive thing in T20 cricket."
