Prince Yadav, on Thursday (March 27), finally picked his maiden wicket during the ongoing game between Lucknow Super Giants and Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
The right-arm fast-bowler made his IPL debut earlier this week when LSG faced Delhi Capitals in Visakhapatnam. It was a forgettable outing for Prince Yadav as DC batters took him to the cleaners. While he bowled his full quota of four overs, he could not make much impact with the ball.
The 23-year-old conceded 47 runs in his four overs without taking any wickets. Even though he had a poor outing with the ball, the LSG think tank showed faith in him once again and did not drop him from the playing eleven for the game against SRH.
And Prince justified the faith by making a huge impact in the very first over. LSG captain Rishabh Pant gave the young pacer the unforgiving task of bowling to a well-settled Travis Head. The Australia star was batting on 47 runs off just 27 balls when Prince Yadav came to bowl the seventh over.

To make matters worse, Nitish Reddy hit the pacer for a four on the very first delivery before taking a single. Head was on strike for the third ball of the over and the star batter was castled on that same delivery.
The left-handed batsman cleared his front leg in an attempt to play a big shot against a full ball. However, he could not make any contact and the ball went down to crash into the middle and off stumps.

Before getting dismissed, Head was dropped twice by the LSG fielders and his wicket would have been a big relief for the Lucknow-based outfit. He was first dropped by Nicholas Pooran on 34 before Ravi Bishnoi dropped him off his own bowling when he was on 42. The two drops did not prove too costly for LSG as Head failed to make the most of the reprieves.
