A few days ago, there were speculations that Prithvi Shaw and Akriti Agarwal were not getting along. But their Japan trip and sharing happy moments together show that everything is fine between them. Akriti has been posting photos and videos from their Japan vacation on social media.
In one viral clip, the couple is seen standing at what looks like a railway station and talking about the signboards written in Japanese. Akriti says that everything is written in Japanese and there is nothing in English. Prithvi quickly points out that some information is actually written in English.
Akriti then jokes that they are so “dumb” that they cannot understand anything. Prithvi immediately trolled her by saying that she should not include him and should speak only for herself. His quick reaction leaves Akriti laughing, and the video has become a big hit among fans.

Notably, Prithvi Shaw got engaged to 23-year-old actress and social media influencer Akriti Agarwal in March this year. The 26-year-old had shared their engagement pictures on Instagram.
Their relationship first came into the spotlight last year after Prithvi posted a photo with Akriti during Ganesh Chaturthi, which started dating rumours, and later they made their relationship official. Prithvi Shaw eyes big comeback with Duleep Trophy 2026
Meanwhile, Prithvi will soon make a return to competitive cricket. He has been selected in the West Zone squad for the upcoming Duleep Trophy 2026, which will begin on August 23. The team will be led by Ruturaj Gaikwad and features stars like Shardul Thakur, Sarfaraz and Musheer Khan, Tushar Deshpande and Tanush Kotian.
Last year, Prithvi left Mumbai and joined Maharashtra for domestic cricket. He was also part of the Delhi Capitals squad in IPL 2026, but he did not get a chance to play a single match. He will now be hoping to perform well in the Duleep Trophy 2026 to catch the selectors’ attention.
The upcoming Duleep Trophy is scheduled to begin on August 23, with the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru set to host all the matches of the tournament.
