The incident occurred during the 12th over of the South Delhi Superstarz innings in the ongoing match. Priyansh Arya started the over with a six over long off and then sent the ball over deep mid-wicket for a maximum on the second ball of Manan Bhardwaj's bowling in the DPL 2024 match.
Arya went on to smash the next four deliveries for sixes in the over, resulting in 36 runs from Bhardwaj's over. Bhardwaj conceded 24 runs in his first over of the match. The spin bowler didn't bowl his third over in the match. Bhardwaj ended with 60 runs in his two-over spell in the ongoing match.
Priyansh scored his second century of the season. The 23-year-old batter reached the milestone in the 15th over of the innings. His partner, Ayush Badoni, also scored a century in just 39 balls. The duo helped the team reach a mammoth total of 308 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
No Idea Regarding The Records - Ayush Badoni
During the innings break, South Delhi Superstarz captain Ayush Badoni said that he wasn't aware of any records they had set. Badon said that his focus was on attacking the opposition and hitting sixes. He acknowledged that breaking such records again would be challenging.
"No idea regarding the records we broke! I just wanted to take on the opponents and hit them for sixes. We were enjoying ourselves and like I said, we played aggressive cricket during our batting. It will be a little hard to break this record but we will try to maintain the streak," Badoni said.
