Quinton de Kock, on Friday (June 21), smashed his second consecutive fifty in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 to give South Africa a blazing start in their Super 8 clash against England.

The southpaw had made a poor start with the bat in the competition. As the conditions for batting were not easy, Quinton de Kock struggled to get going in the group stage, registering scores of 20, 0, 18 and 10. However, he has hit the top gear in the Super 8 and is leading South Africa's charge with the bat.

He roared back to form with a match-winning fifty against the USA in the previous game. The wicketkeeper-batsman scored 74 runs with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes to help the Proteas pile up a big total of 194/4. The Aiden Markram-led side had gone on to win the game by 18 runs to start their Super 8 campaign with a fine win.
