Team India and Afghanistan are currently fighting it out in their first Super 8s game of the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024. The game is taking place at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados.

India skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat first on a slow and two-paced pitch. The India skipper, however, could not lead the team from the front and was out for just 8 runs from 13 balls. Rohit struggled to time the ball right from the start before being dismissed by Fazalhaq Farooqi in the third over.

Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant then steadied the ship with a 43-run stand. Both the batters got the starts but failed to convert them into big scores. Rashid Khan broke the stand by dismissing Pant for 20 before sending back Kohli as well for 24 to reduce India to 62 for 3. Shivam Dube's poor run with the bat continued in the ongoing T20 World Cup as the southpaw departed after scoring only 10 runs.

After Dube's departure, Hardik Pandya joined Suryakumar Yadav in the middle and the duo have managed to steady the ship for Team India. As the game was going on, a brilliant moment involving Hardik Pandya and Rashid Khan was witnessed.

Despite the huge pressure of the game, the former IPL teammates managed to share a lighthearted moment between themselves. The incident took place in the 14th over when Rashid Khan was bowling to his former Gujarat Titans teammate.

Just before releasing the ball, Rashid pulled out of his bowling run-up but continued running towards Pandya while rolling his arms. He also pretended to throw the ball at Pandya. The cameras then turned towards the India star who was seen staring at Rashid with a wide grin on his face.
