Former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Ravi Shastri shared a humorous moment about facing legendary Pakistan fast bowler Wasim Akram. Ravi Shastri said that Wasim Akram made it difficult for even the most experienced batters to anticipate movement while responding with wit.
Recently, Shastri appeared on the show "Dressing Room," hosted by Fakhr-e-Alam, alongside panelists Nikhil Chopra, Ajay Jadeja, Waqar Younis, and Akram. The Dubai-based show, featuring both former Indian and Pakistani cricketers, has drawn mixed reactions from fans and cricket experts.

Ravi Shastri has been a full-time broadcaster since his tenure as head coach of the India national cricket team ended in 2021. He has been a regular voice in the commentary box for India's international matches and major global tournaments.
Shastri is widely known for his iconic commentary during India's triumphs in the 2011 ODI World Cup and the 2024 T20 World Cup. Before transitioning to broadcasting full-time, the former all-rounder served as the head coach from 2017 to 2021.
You Have to Watch Your Nuts Too! - Ravi Shastri
Cricket is not just about skill and competition but also about the lighter moments that players experience on the field. Shastri said that Wasim Akram was one of the most intimidating bowlers of his era.
"When the ball is swinging so much, you have to be very careful. People think it's only your toes and head, but you have to watch your nuts too! If it swings late and you miss it—ouch! Everyone else is laughing, the commentators are laughing, the audience is laughing... but you're the only guy gasping for breath," Shastri said.

Pakistan Had Disappointing Campaign in 2025 ICC Champions Trophy
The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is nearing its business end, with India taking on New Zealand in the final. The summit clash will take place at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, March 9. The Rohit Sharma-led team will be hoping to continue their unbeaten winning streak in the final match.
Meanwhile, Pakistan had a disappointing campaign in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. The Men in Green failed to secure a single victory despite hosting the event after 29 years and entering as defending champions.
They suffered a 60-run loss in their opening game, followed by a six-wicket defeat to India, which pushed them to the bottom of the Group A table. New Zealand secured a win over Bangladesh, which confirmed Pakistan’s early exit. Notably, their final group-stage match was abandoned due to rain.
Pakistan will face New Zealand in a white-ball series, featuring five T20Is and three ODIs. Agha Salman will lead the T20I side.
