Ravindra Jadeja's skillful delivery sends Matt Henry packing as India eye victory in Mumbai Test
With the second day of the Mumbai Test coming to a close, Jadeja showcased his exceptional skill by altering his pace to keep Matt Henry guessing. As the Indian captain Rohit Sharma called for a slower delivery, Ravindran Jadeja expertly drifted the ball into Henry before spinning it away sharply on the turning track of Wankhede Stadium.
The New Zealand bowler completely misjudged the line and was left with no chance while attempting to guide the ball to the on-side, as the ball sneaked past his bat and shattered the stumps. It was his fourth wicket of the day against New Zealand.

Ravindra Jadeja’s ability to read the game and adjust his bowling to fit the situation was on full display in the ongoing Mumbai Test against New Zealand, cementing his reputation as one of the most valuable assets in the Indian bowling lineup.
Earlier in the match, the Indian all-rounder dismissed Daryl Mitchell (21), Tom Blundell (4) and Ish Sodhi (8) and he is well set for another five-wicket haul in the ongoing third and final Test match against New Zealand at the Wankhede Stadium.
A record 29 wickets fall at Wankhede Stadium
Notably, a total of 29 wickets fell during the first two days of the ongoing Test match, which is now a new record for the most wickets taken in the opening two days at the Wankhede Stadium. This surpassed the previous record of 25 wickets made in the Test match between India and South Africa in 2000.

Now, the Indian cricket team will be aiming to quickly take the final wicket before chasing the target. However, India already lost the Test series, but there is still significant pride at stake, along with the opportunity to claim 12 vital points in the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25.
It has been quite slow, which is a surprise for me: Ravichandran Ashwin
After the end of Day 2, the Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin said that they should be targeting to get the last wicket as soon as possible without giving away more than a couple of runs to New Zealand, as the hosts are looking to win the final game in Mumbai.
Ravichandran Ashwin said at the post-match presentation as quoted by Cricbuzz: “Hopefully not many; we should wrap it up with one or two runs here and there. Any runs saved in this inning are going to be much more critical for us when we chase it down. It's not going to be easy; we'll have to bat really well. I expected a lot more bounce and speed from this Mumbai pitch; it has been quite slow, which is a surprise for me. It's not a typical Bombay pitch, but much slower than usual.”
