India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja produced a piece of magic as he shattered the stumps of Tom Blundell during the third Test between India and New Zealand at Mumbai. Blundell had no idea where the ball was going and ended up chopping onto the stumps.

During the second day when New Zealand were batting in their second innings, Jadeja bowled a quick slider at 99.3 kph from around the wicket. Instead of coming forward to it, Blundell played on the backfoot as he was concerned about the excessive turn.

However, the ball did not turn and took Blundell's inside edge onto the off stump. The stump was knocked out of the ground as Jadeja wheeled away to celebrate the wicket.

Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant help India take a lead

Earlier in the day, Shubman Gill and Rishabh Pant gave India a good start to the day with some brilliant shot-making. Both of them showed intent and kept ticking the scoreboard by scoring runs consistently.

Pant was dismissed for a fiery 60 off 59 balls but Gill continued to score runs. The 25-year-old looked in great form and hardly looked out of shape despite the pitch offering huge amount of help for the spinners.

Ravindra Jadeja could not contribute much with the bat and was out for just 14. Washington Sundar provided the late flourish for India as he scored 38 off just 36 balls to take India into a lead. Gill top-scored with 90 off 146 balls.

In reply, New Zealand were rocked early with the wicket of captain Tom Latham. Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra were dismissed in quick succession but Will Young stayed at one end to hold the innings together.

Young was dismissed for a well-made 51 on a pitch that was providing huge amount of turn. New Zealand currently lead the series 2-0 and already have the series in their bag. However, both the teams are fighting hard to win this match given the crucial WTC points are at stake.
