Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter S Badrinath was brutally mocked by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans during a 2025 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) match. Spectators wearing RCB jerseys were seen attempting to tease Badrinath, and the incident went viral on social media.
Subramaniam Badrinath has long been a supporter of the Chennai Super Kings and has taken digs at Royal Challengers Bengaluru for not securing an IPL title before their 2025 triumph. He was part of CSK’s title-winning campaigns in 2010 and 2011, and also lifted the Champions League T20 trophy in 2010.

RCB Clinched Maiden Title, CSK Finished at the Bottom in IPL 2025
The 2025 IPL season featured contrasting campaigns for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings. RCB clinched their maiden IPL title by defeating Punjab Kings by six runs in the final.
They registered nine wins in the league stage and finished second on the points table. Carrying that momentum into the playoffs, RCB thrashed PBKS by eight wickets in Qualifier 1 to seal a direct berth in the final.
In contrast, CSK had a disappointing run. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad suffered an early injury, forcing MS Dhoni to lead. However, the team struggled throughout and failed to revive their fortunes. CSK ended the season at the bottom of the standings with just four wins and eight points from 14 matches.
