India National Cricket Team star wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant produced a hilarious yet freakish moment while batting on Day 4 of the second Test against the England National Cricket Team.
Day 4 of the second Test between India and England is currently underway at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Saturday, July 5.

Rishabh Pant sends the bat flying
Pant played an attacking brand of cricket in India's second innings and smashed some terrific shots. The Indian Test vice-captain, in particular, targeted the English pacer Josh Tongue and hit him all over the park.
He decided to continue his assault on Josh Tongue during the 34th over, but he failed to do that and ended up producing a classic 'Rishabh Pant' moment.
On the fourth ball of the over, Tongue bowled a length delivery to Pant just outside off-stump, and the India wicketkeeper-batsman went for a wild smash across the line intending to hit a six.
However, Rishabh Pant was unable to make any connection with the ball; instead, he lost the grip of his bat and sent it flying towards the square leg region.
There were smiles all around the ground after Rishabh Pant's bizarre move, and the reaction of the pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah, who has been rested for the second Test, to the incident was absolute gold.

Pant has lit this stadium alive - Dinesh Karthik
Seeing Pant doing chaotic things in the middle, Dinesh Karthik and Stuart Broad were left astonished while doing commentary.
"Pant has lit this stadium alive. He lost his bat and then lost his shape," former India National Cricket Team wicketkeeper-batsman Dinesh Karthik said on Sky Sports.
"It's chaos. Don't go anywhere. You can't predict what Pant is going to do. Even he doesn't know!," pace-bowling legend Stuart Broad said.
Stuart Broad also said that Pant is a fan favorite in England, as the crowd enjoys the exciting brand of cricket that he plays. He said:
"Pant is a batter England will be very worried about right now as he could extend the lead very quickly. When he scored his two hundreds at Headingley, the crowd were up and supporting him, as in England we love seeing this type of talent. He is the sort of player that gets you glued to the TV."
Meanwhile, former India head coach Ravi Shastri, while speaking on Sky Sports, advised Shubman Gill and Pant to score quickly and invite England to bat in the last hour of the fourth day's play. He said:
"If Pant and Gill stay for an hour and India bat for another two hours, they may even entertain thoughts of 500, instead of 450.
"It is very important India have a crack at England tonight with the ball and realise that pressure period, of one hour before stumps, when they might be able to pick up two or three wickets. India have to call the shots."
