After engaging in a playful banter with Harry Brook, Pant, who is known for his sharp one-liners, spontaneous reactions, and witty remarks behind the stumps, was seen hilariously calling out his teammate Mohammed Siraj in the ongoing second Test at Edgbaston.

Well, Day 3 of the second Test between India and England at Edgbaston had a mix of intense game and lighthearted moments. Well, Pant showed his witty side during a fiery spell from Mohammed Siraj, and the stump mic caught every bit of it that has now been making rounds on social media.

The viral moment unfolded in the 90th over of England’s innings, when Mohammed Siraj, bowling his 20th over, delivered a sharp bouncer to England tailender Shoaib Bashir. It was Bashir’s very first ball at the crease, and Siraj greeted him with a quick, short delivery that smacked straight into his helmet.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant may have failed to score big in the first innings in the ongoing second Test against England, but he made sure to leave his mark in other ways at Edgbaston. Actually, the vice-captain took charge briefly on Day 2 and again on Day 3 when Shubman Gill was off the field.

While leading, Pant’s sharp presence behind the stumps proved valuable, especially during Mohammed Siraj’s fiery spell. One of the standout moments came in the 88th over, when Siraj struck Brydon Carse on the pads and appealed loudly for LBW.

The umpire said no, but Pant was sure it had hit the pad first and immediately signaled for a review. By the time the DRS was taken, Gill had returned to the field. Replays confirmed that the wicketkeeper’s instincts were right, as the ball was going on to hit the leg stump.

The decision was overturned, Siraj picked up his fourth wicket, and eventually completed a six-wicket haul as India bowled out England for 407 runs to take a 180-run lead. Presently, India is leading by 244 runs, with KL Rahul (28*) and Karun Nair (7*) resuming the play on Day 4 at Edgbaston.
