Robin Uthappa’s gesture for Misbah-ul-Haq in the WCL 2024 Final wins hearts

Well, the WCL 2024 final between India Champions and Pakistan Champions was filled with stellar performances, but it was former Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa's sportsmanship that truly shone bright and won the hearts of fans worldwide.

The highly anticipated final saw the Pakistan Champions set a challenging target of 156 runs, thanks to Shoaib Malik’s 41 and Kamran Akmal’s 24-run knock against the India Champions in Birmingham.

The India Champions successfully chased down the total on the back of a blistering half-century from Ambati Rayudu. Gurkeerat Singh Mann (34) and Yusuf Pathan (30) also shined with the bat.

However, the WCL 2024 final’s most memorable moment came when legendary Pakistan batter Misbah-ul-Haq, batting at number six, pulled his hamstring while running multiple doubles during his 18-run knock in the first inning.

The 50-year-old Misbah was seen in pain and began to limp off the field. At that time, in an exemplary act of sportsmanship, India's wicketkeeper-batter Uthappa came forward to help injured Misbah, placing his arm around him to provide support.
