MI's veteran cricketer Rohit Sharma might be a competitor on the field, but he is also a great friend to his teammates and the opposition players off the field. The former MI captain was full of praise for LSG's bowling allrounder Shardul Thakur after the match.
After LSG defeated Mumbai Indians at Lucknow, Rohit Sharma lauded his good friend Shardul Thakur in front of the LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka. His words were caught on camera and went viral on social media.
Rohit Sharma's ultimate praise for Shardul Thakur
After the game, LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka was seen congratulating his team and even met some of the opposition players. As he saw Rohit Sharma standing alongside Shardul Thakur, Goenka headed towards him.
However, Rohit was in a good mood and praised Shardul. "Sir, why worry when you have Lord?" Rohit said in the video, in an ultimate praise for Thakur, who was standing alongside him, and smiled as Rohit said these words for him.

Shardul Thakur's brilliant penultimate over
Shardul played a key role in the victory for the Lucknow Super Giants. He bowled a fantastic penultimate over, which went for just seven runs and almost sealed the game for his side.
His first three overs went for 33 runs, but he conceded just 7 runs off his final over. Mumbai Indians needed 29 runs off 12 balls with Pandya and Santner at the crease when Shardul arrived to bowl. However, his overture turned the tide in LSG's favour.
Earlier in his opening spell, Shardul Thakur had also picked up the big wicket of Ryan Rickelton when he had him caught at deep backward square leg, where Ravi Bishnoi was perfectly stationed.
With 22 runs needed off the final over, Avesh Khan held his nerves despite conceding a six off the first ball to Hardik Pandya. Lucknow Super Giants clinched the thrilling match by 12 runs for their second win of the season.

LSG clinch a thriller
Earlier in the day, LSG scored 203-8 while batting first on a surface that had a little help for the bowlers. Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram started brilliantly for the Super Giants. Marsh scored 60 off 31 balls while Markram struck 53 off 38 deliveries.
There wasn't much contribution from the middle order as Rishabh Pant fell for another low score. However, Ayush Badoni and David Miller played brisk cameos down the order to take their team to a good score. MI skipper Hardik Pandya finished with the best T20 figures of 5-36.
In reply, Mumbai Indians lost two early wickets, but Naman Dhir and Suryakumar Yadav steadied the ship. Both were looking extremely comfortable at the crease before Digvesh Rathi struck to snap up Dhir.
Suryakumar Yadav was dismissed for a well-made 67 off 43 balls, but MI were still ahead with Hardik Pandya at the crease. However, two fantastic final overs bowled by Shardul Thakur and Avesh Khan sealed the game for Lucknow.
