An emotional and heartfelt moment between Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh during the third and final ODI against England at Lord's on Sunday, July 19, went viral across social media.

The former Indian captain scored a brilliant century under huge pressure against England in the final ODI, but it was his heartwarming celebration after reaching the milestone that left everyone emotional and blushing at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. Rohit Sharma looked towards the stands where his wife Ritika Sajdeh was watching the match after reaching three figures. Seeing his wife emotional, the Indian batting icon just smiled and blew a flying kiss towards her. The beautiful moment was caught on camera at Lord’s.

Rohit played one of the best innings of his ODI career, scoring 138 runs from 110 balls with the help of 17 fours and five sixes. It was his 34th ODI century, and he became the first Indian batter to score an ODI hundred at Lord's.

At 39 years and 80 days, the Hitman also became the oldest Indian player to score an ODI century and the oldest Indian to hit an international hundred in any format. Soon after reaching his hundred, Rohit looked straight at the stands where Ritika Sajdeh was applauding for her husband after his record century.

She was seen wiping tears from her eyes after watching her husband answer all the recent criticism with such a special innings. The former Indian captain then blew a flying kiss towards her, and the emotional moment touched the hearts of cricket fans around the world, and the clip went viral on social media in no time.

England pile up huge total in Lord's series decider

The fifth and final ODI at Lord’s was the deciding match of the three-match series after both teams had won one game each. England batted first after India won the toss and posted a massive total of 387/3 in 50 overs. Amid this, "It's always fun batting together": Rohit Sharma on Virat Kohli partnership.

Ben Duckett played a superb innings of 141, while Jacob Bethell scored 91 as the pair added 192 runs for the opening wicket. Joe Root remained unbeaten on 74, and Jos Buttler smashed an unbeaten 41 off 13 balls to take England close to the massive total.

Chasing the target, Rohit Sharma, the opener, first added 147 runs with captain Shubman Gill, who made 77, to give India a perfect start. And then stitched a 113-run partnership for the second wicket with Virat Kohli, who also smashed a brilliant knock of 74 runs.

Sam Curran turned the game in England's favour by taking four key wickets by removing Ishan Kishan, Shreyas Iyer, Virat Kohli and Axar Patel.

Jofra Archer then dismissed KL Rahul as India finished on 360/7 and fell 27 runs short of the target. With the 27-run win, England sealed the ODI series 2-1 at Lord’s in style.
