The Ex-Indian captain has often been seen celebrating the opposition’s wickets more than his batting milestones. That is a fact that is not missed by anyone around him in both the Indian team and the IPL, including Indian skipper Rohit Sharma.

During the BCCI Awards at the Red Carpet Show on Jio Cinema, the Indian skipper was asked to mimic Virat Kohli’s celebration after the team took a wicket.

Rohit Sharma’s mimicry of the ex-Indian skipper has caught the eye of fans on social media, with the video clip going viral all over the internet. In the video, Rohit Sharma can be seen enacting Virat Kohli’s expression while celebrating an opponent’s wicket.

Indian opener Mayank Agarwal and veteran Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin were also asked to imitate Virat’s celebration in the same situation. The players also imitated Rohit Sharma’s pull shot, Suryakumar Yadav’s Supla Shot, MS Dhoni’s helicopter shot, Jasprit Bumrah’s bowling action, Shubman Gill‘s bow-down gesture, and KL Rahul’s ‘shut the noise’ century celebration.

Talking about Virat Kohli, he was not present at the award ceremony held on Tuesday (January 23) in Hyderabad. just a day before the ceremony, it was announced that he would miss the first two Test matches against England due to personal reasons.

The Board Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had revealed in their statement that Virat Kohli spoke to Rohit Sharma before the decision was made.

The BCCI offered their support to the star Indian batter while urging the fans and media to respect his privacy and not speculate on the reasons behind his absence.

India and England are currently facing each other in the first Test which is being played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. India is in a strong position after they take a 190-run lead in the first innings. They are likely to win the match on this turning track.
