India's captain Rohit Sharma is known for his sense of humor and it was evident again during the practice session of the team. Rohit Sharma was seen chatting with a local net bowler named 'Awais Khan' after the team's practice session.
During the conversation, Rohit hailed Awais for being a class bowler. However, he hilariously teased the bowler and accused him of trying to break his leg with his inswinging yorkers.
Rohit also thanked Awais and the other net bowlers for helping the Indian batters by bowling at them during the nets. During the same conversation, Awais claimed that it was his dream to bowl to Rohit Sharma and he enjoyed bowling to him.
“Class bowler. Aap hamara joota… hamara pair todne ki koshish kar rahe the par...inswinging yorker maar ke (You were trying to break our legs). Badiya bhai badiya (very good). Aap log humko idhar aake help kar rahe ho, bada acha laga, thank you (You guys ur helping us by bowling to us here)," Rohit said.

Team India conducted its first practice session before they began their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20 in Dubai. The team will be looking to fine-tune their preparations for the last time.
Rohit Sharma is key to India's chances
Rohit Sharma is one of the key players for India alongside being a captain. The opener will be expected to give his team flying starts at the top. In the last few years, Rohit has changed his batting style and is more aggressive than ever before. He is likely to keep that positive intent in the upcoming Champions Trophy.
Rohit was in poor form in the red-ball format during the home Test series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. His lean patch carried to Australia where he scored just 31 runs in three Tests at an average of 6.20 in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.
However, he has been a brilliant ODI player over the years and will be expected to do well. He announced his return to form in the ODI series against England by smashing a whirlwind ton in the second match.
He scored 119 runs off just 90 balls with 12 fours and 7 sixes, thus helping India to a comfortable win in the end. It was Rohit's 32nd ODI hundred and an indication of him getting back amongst the runs.
India's schedule for Champions Trophy 2025
India will play their first match of the Champions Trophy 2025 against Bangladesh on February 20. The Men in Blue will then face the arch-rivals Pakistan in a highly anticipated clash.
India will finally face New Zealand in their last match of the group stage on March 2. All of India's matches will be held in Dubai after the tournament was agreed to be played in a hybrid model following India's refusal to travel to Pakistan.
