India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma has ticked almost every box right in the ongoing first Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Rohit Sharma has been spot-on with his leadership in the ongoing game. After India ended their innings with 376 runs, the opening batter made brilliant bowling changes, and everything that he touched turned into gold as bowlers were all over the Bangladesh batters.
Rohit Sharma also has been right on the money with his fielding. The India captain has looked very energetic as he has been giving his everything. But the opening batter also got disappointed with himself when he missed out on the opportunity to run out Bangladesh batter Hasan Mahmud.
On the 4th ball of the 36th over, Mohammed Siraj bowled a delivery to Mehidy Hasan Miraz, who played a drive to the left of Rohit Sharma at mid-off. The India captain put in a great dive to his left and stopped the ball. He got up immediately and saw Hasan Mahmud was out of the crease and attempted a direct hit, but he missed.
This left Rohit Sharma extremely dejected as he knew had he hit the stumps, Hasan Mahmud was gone. The reaction of the Indian captain went viral. Here's the clip:

Thankfully for Rohit Sharma, the missed throw didn't cost much as Hasan Mahmud perished in the last over before tea on Day 2. It was Jasprit Bumrah who stood tall for his team and went on to remove the Bangladesh batter and put his team at the top.
Jasprit Bumrah bowed a full delivery outside off to which Hasan Mahmud poked and got a thick outside edge. The ball flew to the second slip, where Virat Kohli took a brilliant catch to ensure that India National Cricket Team ended the second session on high.
Hasan Mahmud couldn't make a big impact with the bat as he scored just 9 runs off 22 balls. With his wicket, Bangladesh National Cricket Team lost their 8th wicket and were left tottering at 112/8. Indian bowlers have been all over the opposition with the ball right from the start.
India would now be hoping to take the remaining three wickets and take a massive lead. They would be keen to wrap up the innings and then bat again to give confidence to batters going ahead into the length Test season.
India batters didn't have a great outing with the bat in the first innings. Skipper Rohit Sharma managed just 6 runs, and he, along with other batters, would want to get some runs under their belt. It remains to hr seen if the hosts bundle out opposition under 176 and will be giving follow-up or not.
