India ODI and Test skipper Rohit Sharma recently attracted attention in Mumbai while driving his blue Lamborghini Urus, featuring a special number plate. The video showcasing the special number plate of Rohit Sharma's Lamborghini Urus has gone viral across social media platforms on the internet.

The 37-year-old opening batter is currently spending quality time at home amid the five-week international break. He was last seen in action during the three-match series against Sri Lanka, where India suffered a 0-2 loss. However, Rohit was the top run-scorer with 157 runs, including two half-centuries.

The Mumbai batter will next be seen in action during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh. India will face Bangladesh in the first Test match at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19 to 23. The second Test will be played at Green Park in Kanpur, starting on September 27.

Rohit Sharma was spotted driving his blue Lamborghini Urus with a special number plate (ending in 0264) around his hometown Mumbai. In a viral video on X (formerly known as Twitter), Rohit wore the Indian team's practice T-shirt while driving the Lamborghini.

Rohit Sharma scored 264 runs against Sri Lanka in 2014, which is the highest individual score in ODI cricket. The right-handed batter is the only player to score three double centuries in the 50-over format in international cricket. He scored two double centuries against Sri Lanka and one against Australia.

Rohit purchased the Lamborghini Urus for a whopping Rs 3.1 crore two years ago, which is powered by a four-litre twin-turbo V8 engine delivering 657 bhp. The veteran Indian cricketer has a collection of luxury cars, including the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Mercedes-Benz GLS, and Range Rover, among others.

Rohit Sharma is now the highest-ranked Indian batter in both ODIs and Tests. The batter moved to No. 2 in the ODI rankings, replacing Shubman Gill. Sharma (No. 6) is also the highest-ranked Indian in Test cricket. Virat Kohli is fourth in ODIs and 10th in Tests, while Yashasvi Jaiswal is eighth in the Test rankings.

Rohit, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and R Ashwin have been exempted from the Duleep Trophy, which will begin on September 5 in Bengaluru. The national selectors balanced experienced players and emerging talent in their team selections. Rohit and Kohli will return for India’s series against Bangladesh.

He is the second-highest scorer for India in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle. He has scored 700 runs in nine Tests (16 innings), including three centuries and three half-centuries. Sharma is behind young opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 1,028 runs in nine Test matches in the cycle.

The Indian skipper will be crucial for India in the upcoming five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy, which will be played in Australia later this year.
