Cricket Fans were thrilled as they got to see their God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar back in action. India Legends took on South Africa Legends in the Road Safety World Series Tournament Opener. The match was quite a one-sided affair where India Legends won the match by 61 runs and started their campaign in a grand fashion.

It was a fascinating start to the Road Safety World Series Opener where the entire World Cricket got to see their Star Cricketers back in Action.

Road Safety World Series promises to be an exciting contest where all the teams are evenly matched. Suresh Raina, who recently announced retirement was all seen in the tournament. He scored 33 runs in 22 balls and was looking in good touch. Sachin Tendulkar once again showed the World that he still has passion & vigour in him. The batter scored only 16 runs which included 2 boundaries but those 2 fours were invaluable.

Sachin Tendulkar on a Roll

Even though, Sachin Tendulkar scored only 16 runs; he was looking in great touch just like his old times. It was Makhaya Ntini who had the ball in his hand, and Sachin lofted him towards a long on boundary fence. The fans got a moment to cherish and erupted in joy. The stay of Sachin Tendulkar was quite short as Makhaya Ntini got rid of him in the 6th over.

Stuart Binny on Fire

In the tournament opener, Stuart Binny was the unexpected hero for the team. He scores 82 runs in 42 balls in which he scored 5 fours & 6 sixes and laid the foundation for the India Legends. Stuart Binny looked like a man on a mission as he showed a lot of intent. Stuart Binny would be mightily pleased by his performance as he rose to the occasion when the star batters weren’t able to put on a show.

South Africa Legends would be disappointed with their performance as they gave away too many runs. Chasing 218 is quite difficult but they showed that they can put on a fight. It would be interesting to see how South Africa Legends bounce back after this below-par performance. Irrespective of the result, it seemed as if the clock turned backwards as all the great Cricketers rolled their sleeves.
